Department of Electrical Engineering

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

Engineering Ethos

To bring the physical, analytical and technical knowledge of Electrical Engineering to meet challenges faced by the students.

To promote among student graduates the ability to gain multidisciplinary knowledge through projects and industrial training, leading to a sustainable competitive edge in R&D and meeting societal needs.

Ethics and Attitudes

To prepare students for maintaining professional ethics and proper attitude to be a good human being besides inculcating self assurance and collaboration skills to guide a team while promoting lifelong learning.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSO)

Apply the knowledge of Circuit Theory and Control Systems to design and specify the power flow from generation to distribution, signals and systems and in any interdisciplinary engineering field.

Design, analyse, test and evaluate the knowledge of electromagnetics, measurements, electrical machines in domestic, commercial power distribution systems and in utilization of electric power by using modern engineering and IT tools.

Develop the expertise in state of the art, sustainable, eco-friendly technology, associated with efficient conversion and control of electric power by static means from available form to required form, in solving complex engineering problems in any engineering discipline.
