Achievements and Awards

The students and Faculty members of Department of Information Technology, BPPIMT have made many achievements, both academic and extra-curricular, over the years. A few selected ones among them are:

First Year:

1. Two students, Mr. Sutanu Chandra and Mr. Soumyadip Bhattacharyya completed Google IT support certification.
2. Mr. Subham Bhadra, selected in top 13 participants in Freshers of the college.

Second Year:

1. Mr. Subhradip Barik, secured 1st place in “Break the Code”, an inter college coding competition.
2. Ms. Randrita Sarkar, won 1st prize in Yelnik (A digital poster competition).
3. Ms. Randrita Sarkar secured a position (431st ) among 90,000 participants in Open Coding Round Competition by Techgig.com.
4. Mr. Soham Nandi, recognized as NPTEL Believer for July-December, 2020.

Third Year:

1. Mr. Ranit Sengupta, appreciated by 3rd Eye, for his excellent job in photography.
2. Dr. Gitosree Khan, Mr.Arijit Banerjee, Mr.  Aritra Bhattacharjee, Mr. Krishnendu Nandi and Mr. Akashdeep Bhattacharya, “Asynchronous BCI (Brain-Computer Interface) switch for an alarm”, Book Chapter "Medical Internet of Things: Techniques, Practices and Applications' published in CRC Press,2021
3. Mr. Aritra Bhattacharjee, Mr. Akashdeep Bhattacharya, Mr.Krishnendu Nandi and Mr.Arijit Banerjee participated in e 2- Week e-Yantra Hackathon 2020: Fighting COVID-19. This team was amongst 60 teams out of 156 submissions from the total of 1913 registered teams.

Fourth Year:

1. Ms. Sahelipa Datta, published her book “A 100 Thoughts…” from Notion Press (20th May, 2020).

 

• Mr.Arindam Goswami, IT 2nd Year selected as Hacker Earth Campus Ambassador.
