Description

Explore the thrill of basket-ball, the challenge of team co-ordination, your skills of control over the bot and your limit to resist the pressure and deliver at the same Time. In this event teams have to score goals against obstacles and opponents. Extend your imagination in gameplay and tactics. If you think you are up to the mark Ro-basketball is the platform for robotics enthusiastic like you.

General Rules

1.Each team has to have one manual bot and there should be ball trapping mechanism to put the ball in the basket.

2.Maximum 5 members are allowed in 1 team

3.In the prelim there will be obstacles, teams have to avoid the obstacles and put the ball in the basket.

4.In final there will be 1 on 1 match. Winner will be decided on the basis of goals.

5.Prelim will be conducted in one half of 2 minutes

6.Final round will be conducted in two halves each of 2 minutes

7.For each goals 100 points will be rewarded

8.Deliberate physical contact of bots will not be allowed.

9.In case of wireless bots 100 points will be rewarded

10.In case of ARM mechanism or using of micro-controller to put the ball in the basket - will be rewarded 100 points

Bot specifications

1.The dimensions of the bots should be 20cm*20cm*25cm.

2.The weight of the bots should be within 4kg, otherwise the team will be disqualified

3.10% tolerance would be allowed in mentioned dimensions

Scoring Rules

1.First goal will be rewarded 150 points.

2.100 points would be awarded for all the further goals

3.Each hand touch would cost the team 30 points. Any kind of technical fault may also cost the team 20 points.
