Function of the Cell
- To facilitate hygienic and nutritious food at reasonably priced merchandise and services essential to their comfort and well-being.
- To ensure smooth and proper functioning of the canteen and housekeeping on daily basis.
- The cell plans, controls and evaluate the needs of the canteen for achieving long and short terms goals
- The cell should make every effort to make sure that wastage of food is reduced to a minimum
- The cell should ensure excellence in housekeeping sanitation, safety and aesthetics of the college premises
Facilities of the Cell
- Canteen Facility is available for staff members and students separately
- Two Canteen has a attached kitchen and the canteen staff take extra care to provide the students and staff with nutritious and hygienic food
- Adequate seating facilities are provided to accommodate students and staff even during peak time
- Facility of two RO treatment for purified water is available for staff, students and visitors
- Price list display of different foods available at prominent location within two canteen
Roles & Responsibilities
Roles & Responsibilities of Coordinator
- To coordinate among all members of the committee regarding different Canteen/Housekeeping/Hygiene issues
- To conduct meeting with all committee members in a periodical basis before the semester begin for different issues regarding Canteen/Housekeeping/Hygiene of the institution
Roles & Responsibilities of Faculty Members
- To monitor the operations of the canteen, implementing and reviewing the canteen policy.
- To monitor at regular interval for reviewing the quality of foods and services provided by the canteen
- To audit overall sanitation, solid waste disposal system and fire safety management system of the canteen at regular interval.
- To take feedback from different stake holders of this institution for continuous improvement of the quality of the service and food.
- To organize and promote different awareness program regarding hygiene
Roles and Responsibilities of Administrative Staff
- Understand the importance of hygiene towards health issues in which they work
- Develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility
- Promoting the hygiene awareness campaigning among other students
Canteen Manager
- Manages and supervise the other canteen staff for quality of service and food and hygiene
- Co ordination with the cell members for any issues regarding canteen
