Sports Forum

Function of the Cell
  • Help to build a sense of cooperation and team spirit and instant problem-solving skills in students.
  • Teach to cope with difficult situations overcoming their nervousness and boost their self-esteem.
  • Help to reach their fitness goals and build a fine and fit physique.
  • Reduce pressure and stress to give them energy to learn their lessons well.
  • Separate space for boys and girl’s students for playing table tennis and carrom at the ground floor of C-block and B-block respectively.
  • There is a sports room at A-block for keeping sports goods, Jerseys and for conducting meetings. There is also an arrangement for playing chess for a good no of people.
  • For faculty and staff recreation there is a carrom board at sports room.
  • One notice board is available for pasting / keeping circulars, updating notice, year Planners etc.
  • Playground for cricket and football is provided creating a liaison with external bodies.

Coordinator

  • To co-ordinate all sports event (Indoor and outdoor).
  • Co-ordinate the purchase of all sports item and maintenance of the same.
  • Co-ordinate the annual budget of sports forum.
  • Co-ordinate various outdoor tournament.
  • To issue notices of all meetings and record the minutes thereof.
  • Conducting meeting and follow-up the resolution of meeting for its proper implementation.
  • To recommend attendance to students who have taken part in sports events as per rules.

Faculty Members

  • To organize Intra College and inter college sports events in the college.
  • To Promote and develop sports activities in the college among students and staff members.
  • To specify minimum standards for teams’ participation in Intra-University and Inter-college tournaments.
  • To accompany with students for sports events to be organized in other colleges.
  • Have all responsibilities of its account keeping and report preparation and submission.
  • Shall be responsible for proper management of teams participating in the intra, inter or intra university tournaments and their accounts and reports.
  • To carry on correspondence on behalf of the committee with the outside bodies, (e.g. With NKDA for booking of field for intra college cricket and football tournament).
  • To plan and decide about maintenance of various sports material like carrom board, table tennis board etc.
  • To formulate/revise TA/DA rules for students participating in various tournaments and games/sports meets.
  • To make necessary arrangement for procurement of sports material, sports kit and other recurring and non-recurring items needed for students.
  • To maintain the stock of all sports material and other items purchased.
  • To prepare defaulter students’ list.

Student Members

  • To Promote and develop sports activities in the college among students.
  • Collecting team least and student undertaking form department wise.
  • To monitor discipline at the time of tournament.
  • Satisfy some urgent needs during tournament if there be any.
  • To notify the requirement of sport’s good throughout the year.
  • Identify field for outdoor tournament.
  • To accompany with staff members for purchasing sports goods.
  • The committee consists of 23 members.
  • One faculty member from Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities is considered as coordinator of this committee.
  • There are two faculties from each of Applied Sciences & Humanities and from Electrical engineering department, one faculty from each of Computer Science, Electronics and Communication engineering, Information technology and Master of Computer Application department.
  • Two technical assistants one from Computer Science and one from Electronics and Communication engineering department.
  • Two student members from each of Computer Science engineering, Electronics and Communication engineering and one member from each of Electrical engineering, Information technology and Master of Computer Application department has been included in the committee.
