Examination Cell

Function of the Cell
  • Conduct and manage all internal, semester, practical, and university examinations smoothly and systematically.
  • Prepare and publish examination schedules, notifications, and seating arrangements.
  • Coordinate the preparation, moderation, printing, and secure handling of question papers.
  • Arrange invigilation duties and examination hall supervision.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of examination materials and records.
  • Ensure fair and transparent conduct of examinations according to institutional and university regulations.
  • Collect, store, and distribute answer scripts for evaluation.
  • Coordinate the assessment and result processing activities.
  • Compile, verify, and publish examination results within stipulated timelines.
  • Handle student grievances and examination-related queries.
  • Monitor and prevent malpractice or unfair means during examinations.
  • Conference room in Block A used for generating meeting and control room during class tests.
  • Library Journal Room C-301 and Reading Room C-302 is used as strong room and control room during Semester Examinations.
  • Computer and printer used for preparing poster, notice or documents.
  • Institute notice board, official website for circulating the notice.

Roles & Responsibilities of Coordinator:

  • · Coordinate the planning, scheduling, and smooth conduct of all internal and external examinations in the institution.
  • · Prepare and publish examination timetables in consultation with departments and academic authorities.
  • · Ensure proper allotment of examination halls, seating arrangements, and invigilation duties.
  • · Maintain confidentiality and security of question papers, answer scripts, and examination-related documents.
  • · Supervise the printing, distribution, collection, and storage of examination materials.
  • · Ensure adherence to university regulations, institutional policies, and examination guidelines.
  • · Coordinate with faculty members for preparation, moderation, and submission of question papers.
  • · Monitor examination procedures to ensure fairness, transparency, and discipline during examinations.
  • · Handle cases of malpractice, unfair means, and examination-related grievances according to institutional rules.
  • · Maintain accurate records of student attendance, marks, grades, and examination results.
  • · Coordinate the evaluation process, including answer script distribution and mark compilation.
  • · Prepare and submit examination reports and statistical analysis to higher authorities.
  • · Ensure timely communication of examination notices, schedules, and results to students and staff.
  • · Conduct meetings and orientation sessions for invigilators and examination staff.
  • · Address student queries and provide guidance regarding examination procedures and regulations.
  • · Prepare duty charts and ensure proper deployment of examination personnel.
  • · Coordinate with external examiners, university officials, and regulatory bodies when necessary.

Roles & Responsibilities Members:

  • Issue of Notifications as per the Academic Calendar
  • Arrange for the setting of papers with strict regard to secrecy
  • Issue of Examination Time Tables.
  • Issue of Invigilation List
  • Seat arrangements of Examination Halls
  • Conduct examinations in a disciplined and efficient manner
  • Distribution of answer scripts to the Faculty members for evaluation in case of internal examinations
  • Packaging of answer scripts and handover to the University people.
  • Arrange for the declaration of all the results of internal examinations
  • Examination Cell also helps Accounts department in distributing remuneration received as Examination Expense from affiliating University
  • Constantly review the system of examinations in order to enhance the level of impartiality and objectivity with a view to make it better instrument for assessing the attainments of students and any other matter connected with examinations which may, from time to time assigned by the Principal.
  • Examination cell members also assist University Station Supervisor to conduct University examinations smoothly.
  • Major responsibility of the cell is to liaison with the Affiliating University regarding all examination related issues.

  • The committee consists of 15 members.
  • One faculty member from the First Year Faculty/Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities is the coordinator of this committee.
  • There are three faculties from both Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering department, two from Information Technology, one each from Electrical Engineering, Applied Sciences & Humanities and Computer Applications.
  • One TA from CSE department and two members from Admin Staff to assist with various examination related process and conduction of semester examination.
