The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, in collaboration with the SPIE Student Chapter, BPPIMT, organized a one-day industrial visit to CDAC Kolkata on 24th April 2025. A group of 24 students, accompanied by two faculty members, participated in the visit. During the program, students had the opportunity to explore three specialized laboratories: the Embedded Systems Lab, the Software Lab, and the Biochemical Lab. They were introduced to several innovative projects developed at CDAC, including:
- Good Chilli Sorting Machine – An automated system that distinguishes high-quality chilies from defective ones.
- Health Monitoring Band for Cows – A wearable device used to assess the health status of cattle.
- Good Apple Picking Machine – A machine designed to identify and collect only high-quality apples.
- Tea Leaves Picking Machine – An efficient system for harvesting tea leaves while preserving their quality.
- Diarrhea Detection Machine – A medical device that accurately diagnoses diarrhea conditions.
- Water Quality Determination System – A system that evaluates water samples to ensure they meet safety and industrial standards.
