Event Report
An event on ‘Innovation & Entrepreneurship Outreach Program and Robotics Workshop’ for school students was organized jointly by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) BPPIMT in association with the IET Kolkata Local Network at Usumpur Adarsha Uchcha Vidyalaya for Girls and Usumpur Adarsha Uchcha Vidyalaya for Boys on September 4, 2024. 60 students from the boys school and 50 students from girls schools, accompanied by three teachers, participated in the event. Mr. Aritra Ghosh, Assistant Professor (EE) and Ms Sudipta Roy, Assistant Professor (IT), explained the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship in robotics and automation and also encouraged students to think critically and solve problems through hands-on experiences. Mr. Subhasish Das, Assistant Professor (EE), and Probuddha Bikas Chatterjee, Debasmita Paul, Krishnakali Sarkar, Arpan Pal, student members of the Robotics Club of BPPIMT, conducted the robotics workshop. All school students learned the working of various bots, quadcopters, and dual-axis solar tracking systems and enjoyed a live demonstration.
