Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering, BPPIMT has successfully organized a webinar on “Recent Developments in Video Image Processing” to address Gaps in Curriculum for the final year students on 15.01.2022.
The speaker Mr. Rupam Mukhopadhyay, Project Engineer, CDAC, an expert in Video image processing, AI-ML and information hiding, discussed various aspects of video encoding, giving example about how Netflix operates. He also demonstrated how clips from CCTV can be processed, with some live feeds from a CCTV installed in Japan.
The session started with welcome speech of the HOD, Dr. Ivy Majumdar followed by the introduction of the speaker by Ms. Ankita Indu. Students of the department along with Prof. Arijit Saha and Dr. Ivy Majumdar, corresponding faculty members of the relevant course attended the workshop. After the talk there was a very good interaction. The session concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof. Arijit Saha followed by a feedback session.
